I've recently heard of an announcement from Nintendo, indicating that they will release remade versions of the Gold and Silver Games, this fall 2009. ([link]) From the time in 2004 that we got FireRed and LeafGreen, I have always wanted Silver and Gold remakes. When I saw this announcement, I was utterly shocked but at the same time I was disappointed. We don't get them until at least 2010 in English.

That's what's going to push me to finish learning Japanese. I'm defintently going to import one from Japan (or maybe e-bay.)I'm not too sure about the price, maybe 5000 yen? I still have the whole fall to wait. D:

By the few screenshots they have released, it appears that your starter pokemon will follow you around. These games also have the pretty 3D-ish graphics that the Diamond and Pearl threesome had. The girl's outfit and look has completely changed, which puzzles me. She used to have blue hair and a white outfit with a smaller hat. Not that big, puffy marshmellow with a bow. (Not to say I don't like it.) I'm assuming it's because Kris was the first girl you could play as in the Pokemon franchise, her featured game was Crystal. Making her clothes and hair fit its blue color scheme. The boy character (Gold) doesn't look much different, except for the fact they have "modernized" him and cut down on his hair volume. It makes me wonder what Silver looks like.

To be honest, I didn't really expect what the Pokemon Company would be releasing next. I once heard a rumor that they'd stop making new games and just make spin-offs. I'm not sure if a remake counts as a spin-off, though I really doubt that they'll stop making new games in the main series.

In other things, boy is it hot! We have like ten knats in our kitchen right now. (Eww) And, as of right now, I still have four more days of school. *headdesk* Exams anyone?
